Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Ken Slough established Woodland Springs Veterinary Hospital in 2007, providing high quality veterinary medicine and surgery for our community ever since. His values have centered around cutting-edge medicine and technology, client education and customer service. These values have been instilled into all aspects of the Woodland Springs Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Slough attended Oklahoma State University and received his Bachelors Degree in Animal Science in 1996 and obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. He began his veterinary career at a large, 12-doctor, small-animal practice in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he gained extensive experience with orthopedic and soft-tissue surgeries utilizing the CO2 surgical laser. Dr. slough then moved home to Texas and continued practicing veterinary medicine in Flower Mound for five years at a six-doctor, companion-animal hospital. His professional interests include advanced dentistry, orthopedic surgery, allergy management and laser therapy. Dr. Slough has a special interest in helping bracycephalic breeds (e.g., Bulldogs, Pugs, Shih Tzus, Bostons) breathe better through nasal and soft palette correction. Dr. Slough enjoys spending time with his family, organic gardening and occasional fishing. His home is shared with Pepper, a terrier mix, and 2 cats, Bob and Willie.
