Veterinarian Overview

After graduating from Texas A&M in 1998, Dr. Tricia Earley spent eight years practicing in Austin where she was honored as the Veterinarian of the Year in 2005. During that time, she also served as a Veterinary Correspondent for KXAN news, a local NBC affiliate. At KXAN, Dr. Earley hosted a monthly “Ask the Vet” segment, which provided information to the public regarding animal healthcare. Dr. Early serves as Country Living Magazine’s “Ask a Country Vet” animal expert, answering nationwide readers’ questions about all animal-related topics on a monthly basis. Since joining our team in 2007, Dr. Earley has attended numerous advanced-diagnostic seminars and has become an extremely skilled ultrasonographer. Aside from partnering with our own team of doctors, she has also become an integral partner for our referring veterinarians as her skills have helped diagnose kidney and bladder stones, tumors, cancer and other diseases in their clients’ pets. Her diagnosis have helped so many pets throughout North Texas get on the right treatment plan and course for healing. Dr. Earley is caring, compassionate, and believes that good communication is the cornerstone of any quality client relationship. This opinion is shared by her husband, Robert, who is the CEO of JPS Health Network. The Earleys have a beautiful daughter named Bryce, two lovable Lakeland Terriers, Joe and Patsy, a giant Great Pyrenees mix named Owen, five Clydesdale horses, a flock of chickens, and a hive of 20,000 honeybees! The Earleys reside on Old Chestnut Farm, a 65-acre plot on the outskirts of Fort Worth, where they relish the simple life.

Dear Dr. Earley, I am not a customer but have a question. Our 5 year old coon cat, not sure of exact age, doesn't cover her waste. Once in a while I hear her scraping the litter box but it's not sufficient if she does cover it. My husband diligently scoops out the waste every time she goes. I find it very offensive as I can smell it in the middle of the night all the way down the hall until hubby wakes up and cleans out her box. To me this is a major difference between dog and cat care as a dog does not clean up behind itself, as you know, and has to be walked outside. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks, Tammy
