Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Shook is from Little Rock, Arkansas. He attended college at Christian Brothers College, Memphis, Tennessee and Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He graduated from the L.S.U. School of Veterinary Medicine in 1987 and interned in Large Animal Medicine and Surgery, University of Minnesota in 1988. After spending 2 years in equine practice in central Florida he moved to Dallas in 1990. Initially, working in mixed animal practices in Lancaster and Princeton, Texas before becoming a 100% small animal practitioner working with practices in Irving and Plano. In 1994, Dr. Shook became managing veterinarian and in 1997 a partner in Medallion Animal Clinic. He became sole owner in 2009.
