Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Cantrell started East Dallas Veterinary Clinic in October, 1972. It began in a small office space in a multi-tenant shopping center. He has practiced at the same intersection of Lakeland and Ferguson since that date. The current clinic was relocated in 1982 to a new facility built next door to the old location and the Clinic has enjoyed two physical expansions since then. In January of 2008 Dr. Cantrell sold the practice to Dr. Ellsworth. He is looking forward to spending more time with his family and pursuing his many hobbies, in particular fly fishing. After serving in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corp from 1969-1971, he worked in group practice in South Oak Cliff prior to establishing his East Dallas Veterinary Clinic.
