Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Wilson grew up on a farm in southwest Iowa. In 1997, she completed her undergraduate studies in biology at Concordia University in Nebraska. She then attended the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and earned her DVM, with distinction, in 2001. Dr. Wilson went on to complete an internship focusing on internal medicine and cardiology at the California Animal Hospital in Los Angeles. She moved to Austin in 2002, and has been on staff at Parmer Lane Pet Hospital since 2007. She is a member of CAVMA, TVMA, and the AVMA. Her professional interests include internal medicine and senior pet wellness. Dr. Wilson is married and has two daughters, Autumn and Camryn. The family also includes a chihuahua mix named Akeela and a cat named Romey. Outside of work, Dr. Wilson dedicates a lot of her time to a nonprofit youth track and field program that she and her husband established in 2013. Her daughters also keep her busy with their various activities. She is living the dream!
