Veterinarian Overview
Originally from Bellmawr, NJ, Dr. Diane Coleman wanted to be a veterinarian since she was 5 years old. While growing up, she spent time rehabilitating orphaned squirrels and watching and identifying birds. She attended Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University), and was accepted early into the veterinary program at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, where she received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. While in college, she worked as a veterinary technician and did volunteer work with animals. For Dr. Coleman, educating clients about preventable medical conditions and improving patients' quality of life are the two parts of her job she finds most important and rewarding. She is a member of the Capital Area Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association and her areas of professional interest include feline medicine and client education. Outside work, Dr. Coleman enjoys bird watching, gardening, swimming and drumming. She has three cats: Hunter, Spot and Nicholas.
