Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Katie Colquitt, D.V.M. was born and raised in southeast Texas, where she dreamed of becoming a veterinarian since the age of 10. She graduated from Texas A&M in 2008 with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences, then she worked as a veterinary technician for a few years before obtaining a Masters in Biology from Lamar University in 2013. She went on to attend LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with honors in 2018. Dr. Colquitt has a special interest in dermatology, surgery, and nutrition. She served as the Hills student representative for her vet school class, which sparked her interest in the benefits of adding prescription diets as adjunct medical therapies. In her personal time, Dr. Colquitt enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Colby, their newborn daughter, Poppy, their two Bull Terriers, Walter (Walter White) and Mardi (Mardi Gras), and her Poodle-Beagle mix, Nilla (Nilla Wafer). Her interests outside of veterinary medicine include spending time with friends and family, seeking out the best Mexican restaurants, and enjoying the outdoors on beautiful days.
