Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Alex Aronoff, D.V.M. grew up reading the books of James Herriot, and has had a life-long love of animals. He originally was Class of 2001 at Texas A&M University, and graduated with a liberal arts degree in Speech Communication. In 2009, he realized that he needed to follow his heart, and enter veterinary medicine. After three years of additional bachelors level coursework in sciences, he entered the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M in 2012, graduated magna cum laude in May of 2016. Dr. Aronoff practiced in the Austin area from June 2016 to February of 2018, before moving back to the Dallas area to join Animal Hospital of Collin County. Before veterinary medical school, Dr. Aronoff spent four years as the Dallas City Director for Bnai Brith Youth Organization, an international non-profit agency dedicated to teaching leadership skills and community involvement to older adolescents. Dr. Aronoff brings his passion for educating from his time at Bnai Brith, and firmly believes that education of pet owners is essential to ensuring better lives for their beloved pets. He is always happy to take the time to see that all his clients questions have been answered. Dr. Aronoff lives in McKinney with his wife, Emily, their son, Aidan, and their three dogs, Dutch, Astrid, and Floki, and their parakeet, Frisbee. He and Emily have become avid fans of flat water kayaking, and they also enjoy hiking. When time and the weather allow, Dr. Aronoff enjoys mountain biking.
