Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Erin Corbin was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Her undergraduate studies were done at Oklahoma State University, where she was also a member of the women's soccer team. She then returned to complete her doctorate of veterinary medicine at Texas A&M University in 2009 and went on obtain a rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Corbin's passion for surgery lead her to pursue a specialty career in small animal surgery and she completed a surgical internship at Animal Specialty Group and VCA Alameda East Animal Hospital. Dr. Corbin completed a small animal surgery residency at the University of Minnesota in July 2015, after which she returned to Texas to take the position as a veterinary surgeon at VCA Metroplex and she could not be happier! Dr. Corbin's professional surgical interests span all areas including soft tissue, orthopedic and neurologic surgeries. She has developed a strong passion for surgical oncology and minimally invasive procedures. She has completed advanced training in minimally invasive procedures and has several peer-reviewed publications. In her free time, Dr. Corbin loves spending time outdoors and being involved in sports, especially soccer. Her other hobbies include painting and, when the time and weather permit, snowboarding. She has two 4-legged family members, a dog named Harlie and a cat named Dizzie that she loves spending time with.
