Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Parker was born in San Antonio, Texas and grew up in Dallas. She attended Highland Park High School, and her passion for animals led her to begin working at Holt Veterinary Clinic when she was 16 years old as a kennel assistant and receptionist. She continued to work at Holt as a veterinary assistant in the summers while she attended college at the University of Texas. After college, she spent a year as an animal keeper at the Austin Zoo before beginning veterinary school at Texas A&M University. During her final year of veterinary school, she performed her month long clinical externship at Holt Veterinary Clinic. After graduating from vet school in 2007, she became an official member of the Holt family! Always having a passion for cats, she is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), the Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice,and also carries Vet-Stem accreditation. Dr. Parker has 3 cats, Caesar, Pompey and Augustus. She has a passion for sports, especially the Texas Longhorns and Dallas Stars. She also enjoys reading, interior design and movies in her free time.
