Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Denise Frazier owns and operates Northshore Animal Hospital that she established in November 2000. She planned and designed the hospital using 23 years of clinical experience in small animal medicine and surgery. Her children, Matt and Lori, worked alongside her to develop and grow the hospital. Lori loved the business and animals so much that she has stayed to manage the practice. Dr. Frazier grew up in Norcross, Georgia and was valedictorian of her high school class. She received her B.S. degree in Microbiology in 1975 and then her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1978 from the University of Georgia. She graduated Magna cum laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi honorary societies. She practiced veterinary medicine in Gaithersbury, Maryland from graduation until 1983, the moved back home to the South to live in Atlanta. In 1989 the family relocated to Knoxville and found a new home. A brief two year stay in Naperville, Illinois sent her back to Knoxville for a permanent home. She is licensed in Maryland, Georgia, Florida, Illinois, and Tennessee. Her children, Matt and Lori both graduated from Farragut High School. For this family, the Red and Black of Georgia has been replaced with the Orange of Tennessee! Go Vols! ?Throughout her career, Dr. Frazier has been active in the veterinary community. Dr. Frazier is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association; American Association of Feline Practitioners; Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association; Knoxville Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Dental society. ?Dr. Frazier knew her love of animals and her desire to be a veterinarian would lead her to have her own hospital someday. Northshore Animal Hospital has made that dream come true. She and her family are very grateful for the love and support of the community and all of her patients!
