Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Jacobs has been an animal lover from a very early age. Her desire to work with animals and help care for them led her to volunteer at the local shelter and start helping out at a small animal vet hospital in high school. Her love for veterinary medicine became clear and she graduated with her vet degree from the University of Tennessee in 2004. While in vet school, her interests included dermatology, parasitology, and cats. After graduation, she joined the largest privately owned veterinary hospital in the world. Her interests included rehabilitation, internal medicine, pocket pet care, and ultrasound. Through hard work, she became a chief of staff. In 2011, she started a small animal mobile service focusing on preventative care and rehabilitation. In 2014, she completed her CCRP (Certified Canine Rehabilitaion Practionioner) from the University of Tennessee, and started helping out at a small animal rehabilitation practice in Charlotte, NC. In July 2016, Dr. Jacobs moved to the Gallatin area to be closer to her family and joined SPA. Dr. Jacobs loves to spend her free time with her dog, a lab-chow named Reznor. He is a retired blood donor and reading dog.
