Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Brown, Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology), grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and received her B.S. degree in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida. She received her DVM from the University of Georgia in 2007. After completing a small animal medicine and surgery internship in the New Jersey, she headed back south to the University of Tennessee where she completed her residency in medical oncology. During her residency she developed interests in hemangiosarcoma, histiocytic sarcoma, metronomic chemotherapy, and targeted therapies, and was also able to gain experience in PET/CT scanning. She has lectured on a state and national levels and has conducted research in areas of hemangiosarcoma and anal sac apocrine gland adenocarcinomas.After Hours: Dr. Browns family includes her husband, Anthony, their beautiful newborn son, their two dogs, Lizzie and Bravo, and three cats, Suzie, Albert, and Patrick. She enjoys running, hiking with her husband and dogs, and watching Florida football.
