Veterinarian Overview
John is a native of Rock Hill. He is a graduate of Clemson University and Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating in 1988, John returned home to begin Chappell Animal Hospital and in 1994 he also established Chappell Equine Services. He enjoys the diversity of working in his mixed animal practice. Since 1988, John has been a member of SC Association of Veterinarians, American Veterinarian Medical Association, American Association of Equine Practitioners, and is an active alumnus of Tuskegee University. John is an avid supporter both professionally and personally for York County communities that promote small and large animal events. John and his wife, Athena, are members of Cornerstone Family Worship Center in York, were he is on the worship team and his wife teaches Sunday school. They both enjoy serving in church activities, work, and being outdoors. They reside on their farm in York, SC.
