Veterinarian Overview
Artise Stewart was born and raised in north Alabama and grew up loving all types of animals! She attended The University of Tennessee for her undergraduate degree in Animal Science. She loved Tennessee so much she stayed for Veterinary School and graduated in 2005. She has lived and Seattle and Boston, working in small animal hospitals in both cities. She and her husband moved to Mount Pleasant in 2010 for her husbands job at Boeing. Since her move she attained her CCRP (Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner) through one of two programs in the US. She provides physical therapy and rehabilitation services locally at Charleston Veterinary Referral Center. She is also an adjunct professor at Trident Technical College working with their Veterinary Technician Program. Other professional interests include dentistry, dermatology, osteoarthritis, and working with senior pets to improve their quality of life. She has two pets, Basil a golden hound mix, and Noah aka Pup Cat her rescued cat who acts like a dog. In her spare time she enjoys boating, checking out new local restaurants, watching college football, and traveling.
