Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Shaun Boone joined Landrum Veterinary Hospital in January 2015. He attended Georgia Southern University for his undergraduate degree and obtained a B.S. in Biology. He then attended the University of Georgia for his Doctor of Veterinary (D.V.M.) degree and graduated in 2008. Afterwards, he practiced in Douglas, Georgia until moving back to Athens, GA and pursuing a Masters degree in wildlife and fisheries. After completing his Masters degree, he practiced small animal medicine in Elberton, GA. He currently lives in the Tryon area with his wife, Dr. Lindsey Boone, who is an equine surgeon, and with their daughter. They also have a dog and a cat. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. His interests include soft-tissue surgery and preventative care. Along with discussing preventative care with his clients, he also enjoys helping his clients understand and manage acute and chronic diseases of their pets. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, their pets, and being part of the surrounding community.
