Veterinarian Overview
Dr Kimberly Nelson moved to Rhode Island in 1972, having lived, with her 2 brothers, in varied places as part of a Navy pilot family. She is a 1981 graduate of The University of Rhode Island and received her DVM degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She has worked as a veterinarian in Rhode Island since graduation and has lectured at URI. She opened Greenwich Valley Veterinary Clinic in 1997 and enjoys small animal practice as well as working with varied critters and their people. Interests include athletics (Kim is a Hall of Fame athlete at North Kingstown High School and the University of Rhode Island), being out on the water anywhere, and traveling. Dr. Nelson is married and shares time with the plethora: a Norfolk Terrier (Simon Shoestring), 1 Vizslas ( Kefira),2 German Short Hairs (Sieben and Rylee), a cat adopted from Vieques (Rico), Goomba the parrot, 3 horses and a dozen chickens. (PHEW!!!)
