Dr. Germano was my Rottweiler's Vet for the last 4 years of her life. In that time she showed nothing but love, care and concern for her patient. Keara had multiple medical issues that caused us to be at the Vet's frequently. Keara previously had surgery at this same office by a different dr., and became uncomfortable with the dr., but became very attached to Dr. Germano, to the point she wouldn't let anyone else treat her. I think this mainly was because Dr. Germano got right down on the floor with her and would coax her out from under the office chair which Keara always went under once the tech came into the room. Dr. Germano would talk to her, give her belly rubs, etc., and make her comfortable enough that she would come out and let her do whatever was necessary. Keara developed arthritis which Dr. Germano treated her for, for a few years. In January of 2020 she diagnosed Keara with lymphoma. I was devastated. When I calmed down a few days later I made an appointment with the dr. with about a million questions regarding the care and prognosis of my girl. Dr. Germano patiently explained everything to me and what my options were and she did it in terms that a layperson could understand. She explained the end of life process that we were facing and what to expect and how best to handle it. The whole time she treated Keara she was always open and accepting to any questions and concerns I had and I always received a prompt response. When Keara's time came Dr. Germano's kindness, caring, and compassion made the whole process as bearable as possible for me which helped me to help Keara have an easier transition. Her compassion didn't stop there, after Keara's passing she took the time to make sure I was alright and able to deal with everything and made herself available if I needed her. My girl received nothing but the absolute best care and I was always confident in the choices and decisions made with Dr. Germano's help. It was a heartbreaking experience but I truly feel the very best was done for my girl. I have and will continue to recommend this Vet to anyone who wants/needs expert care and compassion for their furry companions.
