Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Yallof has been as associate veterinarian at Queen Village Animal Hospital since 2004. In 2003, she earned a doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Cornell Universitys College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to that, she graduated cum laude from Amherst College with a BA in history and completed a post-baccalaureate program in pre-veterinary medicine at the University of Washington. She has a strong interest in the control of the stray cat population and particularly trap, neuter, release programs. With help from some of our staff technicians, Dr. Yallof has personally trapped strays, brought them to the hospital for medical care and neuter or spay, recovered them in her home, and released them where they were found. She has also volunteered at local shelters to spay and neuter recent adoptees.Although Dr. Yallof loves caring for dogs, she has a place in her heart for geriatric cats. She approaches care with a philosophy of improving quality of life with minimal stress and invasiveness for this special population. The owner of two cats of her own, Dr. Yallof knows that all cats, but especially older ones, deserve the same respect and love from their clinician as they receive from their family. She welcomes the opportunity to get to know you and to strategize a plan for keeping your cat happy and healthy.
