Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Hengst was born and raised in York County where she graduated from Dallastown Area High School. She obtained her honors undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware where she graduated magna cum laude in Animal Science with minors in Biology and Wildlife Conservation. Dr. Hengst then graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Hengst is committed to providing high quality medical and surgical care to all of her patients and has particular interests in internal medicine, preventive care, and dermatology. She worked at a mixed animal practice before joining Leader Heights Animal Hospital in May 2015. Her hobbies include scrapbooking, gardening, playing sports, spending time with family and friends, and spoiling her golden retriever Bella. Dr. Hengst is an accredited veterinarian and a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Animal Hospital Association.
