Veterinarian Overview
A native of Linwood, New Jersey, John has always had a passion for animals and their well-being. After rescuing an injured bird as a child, he knew he wanted to pursue a career as a veterinarian. Subsequent to completing his undergraduate studies at Colorado State University, John returned east to attend the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Veterinary Medicine, from which he graduated in 1997with his VeterinariaeMediciniaeDoctoris. Initially after graduation, John focused on equine medicine, but was quickly drawn back to small animal medicine. He spent a number of years working at different animal hospitals across the country to get a better understanding of best practices in veterinary business, always knowing he wanted to run his own hospital. He is now the sole owner of New Hope Veterinary Hospital in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and is the co-owner of Evercare Veterinary Crematory Services with his veterinary school classmate, Dr. Scott Martens.
