Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Melissa Logan is a board-certified neurologist and neurosurgeon who joined Metropolitan in August 2015. She previously practiced for four years at a specialty hospital in NJ. Dr. Logan graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. She remained at Purdue to complete a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery, as well as her neurology residency. Prior to her veterinary studies, she earned a Ph.D. in neurophysiology at Purdue, where she studied the mechanisms and treatment of acute spinal cord injury. Dr. Logan will be seeing medical neurology cases, as well as performing neurosurgery. Her clinical interests include nerve and muscle disorders, spinal cord injury and epilepsy.
