Veterinarian Overview
When Dr. Katie Bevilacqua was six years old, her family adopted a Golden Retriever named Yeller. Yeller taught young Dr. Bevilacqua a sense of responsibility and compassion, and showed her just how strong the bond between humans and animals can be. Almost immediately after accompanying her mother to Yellers first veterinary visit, Dr. Bevilacqua announced that she would like to become an animal doctor! Dr. Bevilacqua is originally from Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and attended Delaware Valley College to earn her undergraduate degree before heading to Mississippi State University for veterinary school. After graduating, she moved back to her home state and joined the Animal Hospital of Richboro family in 2011. Dr. Bevilacqua has been happily serving the pets and animal owners of the area as an Associate Veterinarian ever since.Medically, Dr. Bevilacqua is particularly interested in endocrinology and finds it very rewarding to see a patient respond positively to the right treatment. She also enjoys puppy and kitten visits and getting to witness the start of an amazing pet-owner relationship!Aside from her interests in veterinary medicine, Dr. Bevilacqua enjoys musicshes played the flute and piccolo since she was in grade schooland also likes cheering on the Flyers and Eagles. She lives with a giant teddy bear of a dog, Strider, who was adopted while Dr. Bevilacqua was still in veterinary school.
