Veterinarian Overview
Having worked at Society Hill Veterinary Hospital for a decade as a patient care assistant and technician, Dr. Melinda Spicer recently completed her education and transitioned to working as one of our highly skilled veterinarians in January of 2016. She attended Bucknell University for her undergraduate degree before transferring to St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine. Her final year of clinical study was spent at the University of Pennsylvania."I have seen the superior standard of care offered to each and every patient," she says of her history with Society Hill Veterinary Hospital. "I am proud to work in an office with staff that is so dedicated to the health, welfare and happiness of every patient."Dr. Spicer has a special interest in dermatology and enjoys interacting with the varied personalities of our many patients and their pet parents. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.Dr. Spicer shares her home with a Silky Terrier named Truman and a cat named Jackson. She enjoys spending her free time with family, as well as baking and cooking vegetarian dishes.
