Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Low is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery, followed by a three-year residency at CARES before coming on board as a full-time member of the ophthalmology staff in 2013. She treats a wide range of ophthalmic diseases, utilizing the most advanced technology, including laser surgery. Dr. Low is board certified by the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists. She says the most rewarding part of her job is being able to restore vision in pets that were blind, adding, this usually happens after cataract surgery but can happen with other ocular diseases as well. Its an amazing feeling to see a previously scared or nervous, blind dog leave after cataract surgery bouncing around and so happy to see their owners. Dr. Lows family is in Connecticut and NYC and she enjoys visiting them often with her best canine bud, her dog Riley. She also enjoys hiking and horseback riding (with Riley of course!), cooking, yoga and gardening.
