Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Walton is a clinical pathologist for IDEXX with her office located at CARES. She obtained her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a residency in clinical pathology at Colorado State University and she became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Pathology (Clinical Pathology) in 1999. Dr. Walton finds it rewarding to diagnose disease in pets, so veterinarians can appropriately treat disease to greater effect. She enjoys finding the patterns in lab work and on slides that indicate a specific disease, or a set of differentials to further narrow down. Dr. Walton is available to the CARES staff during the week for immediate consultation for the interpretation of cytology, endocrine tests, hematology, and serum chemistry.
