Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Shannon Thieroff joined BelaCoops staff in 2013. She grew up loving animals and knew she wanted to practice animal chiropractic when she learned of it in school. After she graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1999, she returned home to Pittsburgh and opened Choice Chiropractic & Wellness Center, P.C. Her chiropractic practice has successfully served the North Pittsburgh community for fifteen years. In 1999, she adopted her first dog, a rescue Great Dane named Luther. Knowing that giant breed dogs can have lots of issues as they age, she started taking him to a chiropractor. Inspired by the great results she saw with her own pets, she decided to attend the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association certification program through Parker College of Chiropractic. Dr. Thieroff loves helping animals with chiropractic care because it gives them a better quality of life and could help avoid the use of drugs and surgery. It also makes her happy because it makes their owners happy. Now Dr. Shannon has three rescue dogs, Sophie, a Great Dane, Nelson, an Australian Shepherd mix, and Maya, a little red dog of questionable origin. She also has a three-legged cat named Nanny Cat. Everyday she comes to work at BelaCoop she loves being part of a great team that does great work for their patients and clients.
