Veterinarian Overview
He is a graduate of the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine where he received the American College of Veterinary Surgeons Student Surgery Award and the Phizer Clinical Proficiency Award. After his time at OSU, Dr. Ricker completed a one year internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Texas A&M University. He returned to Oklahoma State University for a 3 year surgery residency where he received extensive training in orthopedic, soft tissue, cardiothoracic, oncologic and neurosurgery. His research on the biomechanical security of finger-trapped catheters was published in the the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association in 2015. Dr. Rickers wife, Rachel, is a pastor with Lifechurch.tv and they have one dog, a pit bull named Piper. When Dr. Ricker is not tending to the needs of your companions, he enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, exploring Christianity, and getting outdoors as much as possible.
