Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Holly Snyder is a native of northeast Ohio and knew at an early age she desired to pursue a career as an equine veterinarian. She was an active member of 4-H, showed Quarter horses with her younger sister, and also raised miniature horses with her family. She was afforded the opportunity to shadow with Dr. Ronald Genovese and Dr. Brett Berthold early on, and also worked as a veterinary assistant for the Cleveland Equine Clinic while pursuing her undergraduate degree. Dr. Snyder attended The University of Akron where she competed on the IHSA equestrian team in both horsemanship and reining, and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2011.In Spring of 2015, Dr. Snyder graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine where she received the Excellence in Equine Surgery award during her clinical year. While at Ohio State, Dr. Snyder discovered her passion for equine reproduction and earned the Clinical Research award for her efforts investigating the anti-luteogenic effects of PGF2 alpha administration in cyclic mares.Dr. Snyder is a current member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, Society for Theriogenology, American Association of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association.Dr. Snyder's professional interests include reproduction, acupuncture, and sport horse medicine. She is excited to offer advanced reproductive techniques and acupuncture to her patients as well as work with the wonderful doctors and staff of the Cleveland Equine Clinic. Dr. Snyder currently resides in Stow with her fiancé, Michael, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, riding her horses, traveling, and playing tennis
