I was born and raised in an Eastern Oregon ranch life. I have a Bachelors degree in Biology from PSC, a Masters degree in Marine Biology and got my DVM from CSU in 1967. I previously owned Mt. Scott Animal Clinic in Southeast Portland for 38 years. I was employed at Companion Pet Clinic of Gresham for 2 years, along with my current co-worker, Dr. Powers, until I purchased Stark Street Animal Clinic in 2006. I also have owned and operated a Hereford and Angus beef ranch in Madras, Oregon for my entire life. I am a member of PVMA and the American Hereford and Angus Associations. I enjoy Mother Nature, and I am also attending continuing education seminars.

Dr. Barry was simply the best. Brilliant and talented surgeon. He operated and removed a cancerous tumor on my dog’s leg the size of football with no limp to my dog’s leg after surgery. Through out my dog’s life he afforded affordable and compassionate care.

JESSICA PROFFER

Dr Barry is by far, the most caring and knowledgeable veterinarian, with Dr Powers being a close second, that I and my family's fur babies have ever been privileged enough to have had been cared by. I am forever grateful for his efforts and years of caring for my animals. He has a great way with animals, and humorously educated me on my German shepherds tricks in my pups younger years. There's a special place in my heart for this guy for being such a good person and for all the good work he's done over his career.
