Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Joey Goldthorpe grew up in Wisconsin. She received a degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. After graduation, she visited all 48 lower states in her Geo Metro, stopping to live and work in several places along the way. Oregon was her favorite state. She moved to Oregon and attended veterinary school at Oregon State University. She graduated from OSU in 2002. After an internship in Loveland Colorado, she returned to Corvallis. Since then she has been working at a small animal (dogs, cats and other small companion animals) hospital in Corvallis and also at the local shelter doing spay neuter surgeries. She has been a volunteer with the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon since 1995.Dr. "Joey" has always had a special interest in feline medicine and it has been a career goal to work in a practice devoted exclusively to cats. She enjoys caring for geriatric patients, dentistry and internal medicine. She brings to CatCare a high level of technical skill and an amazing ability to relate to her patients.She lives in Corvallis with her 14 rescued cats and enjoys gardening, photography and spending time at the coast.
