Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Brandt Athey grew up in North Olmsted, Ohio and graduated from North Olmsted High School with the class of 2003. He remained at Ohio State for his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology, and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. He has a strong interest in cardiovascular physiology and disease, as well as performance physiology (the focus of his undergraduate training). He has advanced certifications in Doppler Echocardiography, and Echocardiography in acquired cardiac disease. After working as the chief cardiology consultant at a a large practice in Northeast Ohio, Dr. Athey joined a four-practice conglomerate last winter to help expand their cardiology and internal medicine services. Dr. Athey lives in Berea, Ohio with his wife Erin, their dog Foxy, and their three cats Rory, Bruiser and Beans.
