Veterinarian Overview
Originally from Perrysburg, Ohio, Dr. Jill Bishop made her way to The Ohio State University to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. She began her studies at OSU and was active in several animal agriculture related organizations. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from OSU College of Agriculture with Bachelor of Science, majoring in Animal Science. Growing up with horses, she assumed her career would take her in the direction of equine medicine. Shortly after beginning her veterinary studies at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, she realized her passion for canine and feline medicine prevailed. Dr. Bishop is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, and the Columbus Academy of Veterinary Medicine. She volunteers at the rabies clinics through Capital Area Humane Society and the Columbus Academy.
