Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Ray earned her B.S. in Biology from Dickinson College, Carlisle, PA. During the following five years, she lived in Dublin, Ireland, where she completed her veterinary degree at University College Dublin. After returning home, she became owner of Champion Animal Hospital in Warren, Ohio (1998). Her areas of special interest include surgical procedures and cosmetic reconstruction following traumatic injuries. Outside of the office, Dr. Ray has a passion for showing horses. She rides an Arabian, a quarter horse, and a paint. In 2011, she and her paint horse, who is visually impaired, were featured in The American Paint Horse Journal. Dr. Ray is also obsessed with Civil War history. She enjoys studying and visiting battlefield sites, including Gettysburg (a favorite destination). Other interests include scuba divingwhich is how she met her husbandlandscaping, farming, and target shooting. Dr. Ray has several kids, including several dogs, cats, and birds.
