Veterinarian Overview
Hello, my name is Aaron Horch. I have been a veterinarian since 1987. I started practicing in Chilicothe, Ohio at the Tharpe Animal Health Care Center. Tharp was a mixed animal practice. In 1989, I took a position with Arthur E. Segedy, DVM at The Aurora Veterinary Cinic in Aurora, Ohio. I was with Dr. Segedy for 12 years, during which time I was engaged in Thoroughbred/Standardbred racetrack practice. The majority of my time was spent at Northfield racetrack in Northfield, Ohio. In 2002, I joined the staff of Big Creek Veterinary Hospital. At Big Creek, my time is divided between small animals and horses. I make farm calls on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. I see small animal patients on Thursdays and Fridays. My interests include, equine lameness diagnosis, poor performance in the equine athlete, equine pre-purchase exams, equine dentistry, and equine nutrition. In addition to work, I have two children. My daughter, Jordan is eighteen years old and will be attending college this fall. My son Colin is thirteen years old. He enjoys football and NASCAR.
