Dr. Renner was raised in Avon Lake, Ohio, a suburb west of Cleveland. She was an Honors Student at The Ohio State University and graduated Honors with Research Distinction with a degree in Animal Sciences. As an undergraduate student, Dr. Renner did research on osteosarcoma, a common type of bone cancer in dogs. She presented her research at two forums, receiving first place at one of them. Dr. Renners manuscript has been submitted for publication in the Journal of Veterinary Pathology. Dr. Renner earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University. During her senior year, she was chosen to be The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine recipient of the Bayer Excellence in Communication award. Dr. Renners veterinary interests include avian medicine, wildlife, surgery, and canine/feline behavior. It is her goal to make each of her patients love their veterinary visits! Dr. Renner resides in Columbus with her husband, Eric, two budgies (Duckie and Houdini), and a Quarter Horse named Caesar (pictured).
