Veterinarian Overview
Russell W. Fredericks, age 41, was born and raised in Northport, New York. In 1990 he graduated from Hartwick college with a B.A. in biology from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York. He then attended Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine where he graduated in 1996 in the top 20 of his class. Upon graduating he became licensed to practice Veterinary Medicine in both New York and Florida and spent the next three years as an associate Veterinarian in West Palm Beach, Florida. His achievements there enabled him to become medical director of two VCA owned hospitals. In 1999, Dr. Fredericks returned to Northport, New York to join both his Grandfather, Dr. Arthur W. Fredericks, Cornell '31 And his Father, Dr. Richard W. Fredericks, Cornell '69 in their three generation Cornell graduate Veterinary Practice. Over, the past six years the youngest Dr. Fredericks has subsequently expanded and taken over the existing practice as chief Veterinarian. He continues to work and live in Northport with his family.
