Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Matthew Steinberg is an owner and partner of West Hills East Veterinary Clinic, our Commack location, where he works full time. He is a native Long Islander and graduate of Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. In 2005 he performed a rotating small animal surgery and medicine internship at the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan and spent the following year as an emergency veterinarian at New York City Veterinary Specialists. He spent another two years practicing high quality veterinary medicine at Park East Animal Hospital in Manhattan before coming out to join the West Hills team. Dr. Steinberg has a fantastic wife Suzi, amazing boy/girl twins, Daniel and Hannah, a cat named Samantha and two dogs, Lily and Sandy. His special interests in veterinary medicine include neurology, emergency medicine, and especially being the bridge between owners and pets helping people keep their pets happy and healthy.
