Veterinarian Overview
I came to Rochester shortly after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine and this rapidly become my familys beloved home. During my first year in Rochester, I served an internship in advanced medicine and surgical procedures with a prominent regional practice. In 1996, I re-opened the Animal Clinic of East Avenue in Brockport, NY following a three-year medical leave by the practices founder, Dr. Sykes. After a few years of re-establishing the practice, I purchased the Animal Clinic of East Avenue as my own. After several successful years in the original facility at 18 East Avenue, we moved next door to our new home at 24 East Avenue (next door) in 2011. Our new state-of-the-art facility features advanced surgical, examination, hospitalization and isolation suites and provides us the much-needed space to serve our growing customer base. We offer the full compliment of telemedicine, chemotherapy, digital radiography, and in-house laboratory and diagnostics technologies, and even have indoor facilities for obedience training and behavioral medicine. Over the years, I have strived to serve each and every patient with genuine Care, Compassion and Commitment, and I instill this value across our entire team. In my spare time, I enjoy orienteering, skiing, boating and spending time with my husband, children, dogs, and horses. I have instructed vet tech courses at Medaille College, served as President and board member of The Buffalo Academy (a regional Veterinary Continuing Education Organization) and currently sit on the steering committee for the Monroe County Emergency Response Team.
