Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Carney was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She attended college at Louisiana State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Micorbiology with a Chemistry minor in 2001. She worked as a Research Associate at LSU studying Fire Ants for a few years before returning to school to follow her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She graduated from LSU in 2007 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, and moved to Las Vegas, NV to practice. She has a special interest in feline medicine and behavior, however she also enjoys the canine patient. She currently resides in Las Vegas. Dr. Carney has 3 cats, Buttercup, Denali, and Bryce, as well as a German Shepherd named Maya. In her free time she loves to hike, rock climb, travel, and explore new places.
