Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Larkin is a Texas gal growing up in Flower Mound TX, a suburb of Dallas. She stayed in Texas for college where she went to Texas A&M earning a degree in Biomedical Sciences and continued on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Even though she stayed in Texas for school, through school externships she traveled to St. Kitts to work with the Sea Turtle Monitoring Network, Lilongwe Malawai working at the Africa at the Lilongwe Wildlife Center, in the states she worked at the Omahas Henry Doorly Zoo and Milwaukee County Zoo. This was on top of her time in Mongolia during undergraduate school tracking snow leopards in the wild! Dr. Larkin chose the veterinary field because she knew she wanted to help enhance the lives of pets and their families, and she loves that every day is a new adventure. She chose Las Vegas and Lone Mountain Animal Hospital because after visiting our facility she was impressed with the staff and care of the animals and she liked that we see dogs, cats and exotics. When not at the clinic Dr. Larkin enjoys weaving cloth, reading and hiking. She shares her home with her rottweiler Riddick, River a blue tick coonhound and Orion a domestic short hair cat.
