Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Richard C. Conti recieved his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Bologna in 1977. After graduation Dr. Conti worked in several small animal hospitals and emergency clinics. In 1981 he started Pleasant Plains Veterinary Hospital. He is past president of the Jersey Shore Veterinary Medical Association and was awarded "Veterinarian of the Year" in 1998. Dr. Conti treated and cared for the Toms River Police Canine Unit for over ten years. He recieved formal training in the "Penn Hip Method" of canine hip evaluation. Along with his love of animals, especially is cat "Chester" he enjoys sailing. Look for him on Barnegat Bay in his sailboat "Bad Dog".
