Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Kenneth Fein joined Plainfield Animal Hospital in the fall of 2014, having sold his Small Animal Practice in Connecticut where he practiced for almost 35 years. He grew up in Livingston, NJ and graduated from NYU in 1970 with a BA in History and Economics. Moving out west after graduation he found his calling to practice veterinary medicine and graduated from The Ohio State University with a Masters degree in Neurophysiology and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1980. A member of the Phi Zeta honor society he then completed an internship at the Oradell Animal Hospital and a subsequent Surgical Residency from the Animal Medical Center in New York City in 1984. He is licensed to practice in the tristate area and he is experienced in both medicine and surgery in small animals. He now resides in NYC with his wife, Cathy and their Golden Retriever, Gandalf. His three children are all out of the house with interests in art, fashion, film and art history and a love of animals. Dr. Feins outside interests include tennis, the arts, photography and history. He still remains passionate about practicing veterinary medicine.
