Veterinarian Overview
Born outside of Baltimore in Elkridge, MD, Hanum eventually headed west to attend high school in Claysville, PA. After graduation, Hanum attended the University of Maryland and received her BS in Animal Science and her BS in Environmental Science and Policy in 2014. She attended veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania followed by a year-long mixed-animal internship at Alvarado Veterinary in Texas before joining Rancocas Vet. Hanum is Fear Free Certified, and shes a member of the Texas Equine Veterinary Associates and the American Association of Small Ruminant Practitioners. While she loves working with all species that come into RVA, she takes a special interest in preventative health and nutrition, shelter medicine, reproduction, and surgery. All of her pets are named after a few classics by The Beatles. She has a calico cat named Ellie (Eleanor Rigby), a long-haired tabby cat named Wally (I Am the Walrus), and a terrier mix named Penny (Penny Lane).
