Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Paul has a strong interest in avian and exotic animal medicine and surgery, as well as small animal internal medicine and surgery. He has provided services for numerous breeders, kennels, aviaries, and mini zoos.Organizations and Extracurriculars: Professional organizations include the American Veterinary Medical Association, the NJVMA, Metropolitan NJVMA, Association of AvianVeterinarians, and the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians.History: Dr. Paul graduated from Michigan State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. He had previously earned an early admission to that program after only two years of undergraduate studies, also at MSU.Following graduation, Paul was employed by Benson Animal Hospitals of Lansing, Michigan, a group of 5 privately owned veterinary clinics. After only six months in this practice, Dr. Sedlacek was promoted to manager of one of these hospitals.He then returned to NJ in 1987 where he was hired at Animal Clinic of Morris Plains, then owned by Dr. Albert Singer. Interestingly, Dr. Paul had worked as a kennel workerandtechnician at ACMP prior to vet school.Following a prearranged transitional period with Dr. Singer, Dr. Paul became the owner of the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains in 1988.Family: Paul and his wife Christine have five children, two grandchildren, two dogs, four cats, and many fish.When he's not at ACMP: Dr. Paul enjoys tennis, basketball, traveling, scuba diving, and hiking.Trivia: Dr. Paul is a self-proclaimed Trekkie.
