Veterinarian Overview
Dr. OByrne always knew she wanted to become a veterinarian. In high school, she began working with animals as a veterinary assistant at the local animal hospital and hasnt stopped caring for animals since. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Tufts University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biochemistry, then went on to receive her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Tufts Universitys School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. After graduation, she was awarded an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at NYCs prestigious Animal Medical Center. Dr. OByrne is passionate about all aspects of veterinary medicine from wellness care to complex medical conditions. She has advanced training in Dentistry from the Animal Dental Center in Baltimore, Maryland. She is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist from the Chi Institute in Reddick, Florida, bringing integrative alternative aspects into her daily practice, especially chronic conditions and senior pets. Additionally,Dr. OByrne is an accredited USDA veterinarian for patients anticipating international travel. Before joining the Millburn Veterinary Hospital team, Dr. OByrne was practicing in New York City at the West Village Veterinary Hospital. Dr. OByrne lives in Millburn with her husband, son, daughter, and her loving English Springer Spaniel, Jambo. When she is not at work, she enjoys curling (yes, the ice sport with brooms) and spending with her family.
