Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Kai Branning is a Sussex County native and High Point Regional graduate. You may remember her singing the National Anthem at the Sussex County Fair Opening Day or the 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony. At the age of 8, while watching a local veterinarian take care of her pony Freckles, she decided this is exactly what she wants to do. At the age of 14 she started spending her summer breaks working with a surgeon in Maryland. Eventually she was awarded a full ride scholarship to Rutgers University Cook College and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Next she attended North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine, which is currently ranked 3rd among the top veterinary schools. She is the recipient of the American College Of Veterinary Surgeons Excellence in Surgery Award and Winners Circle Scholarship. Dr. Branning has her own equine ambulatory practice, Branning Equine, which keeps her very busy. But in her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, riding her horses, going hiking with her rescue dog Petey, kayaking and playing her guitar
