Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Bill Freedman received his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University in 1989 and continued his veterinary education there, graduating in 1993. His training included externships at the Animal Medical Center and Angell Memorial Hospital. After gaining experience in local New Jersey hospitals, he purchased Animal General in 1998. Dr. Freedman belongs to the American Veterinary Medical Association, the North Jersey Metropolitan Veterinary Medical Association, the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association, and the North Jersey Veterinary Medical Association. He is a USDA-certified veterinarian and is able to issue international health certificates. His interests include internal medicine and dentistry and he works closely with local animal welfare groups to provide care for the stray and feral animal population. In his free time he enjoys various outdoor activities and spending time with his wife, Dr. Karen Zelinski and their two sons.
