Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Smullen grew up in the small town of Sandown and received her undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire in Durham. She graduated from the University of Glasgow in Scotland with her BVMS degree (the UKs equivalent of a DVM) in June of 2010. Dr. Smullen then worked at Banfield Pet Hospital for 2 years and has been working at an integrative small animal practice for the past year. She developed an interest in acupuncture and studied at the Chi Institute in Florida in fall of 2013.Dr. Smullen enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but shows particular interest in alternative medicine, acupuncture, neurology, ultrasonography, and further developing her surgical skills. She is looking forward to working with the staff here and meeting the clients and patients. Dr. Smullen currently lives in Auburn, NH with her husband, Jonathan, her dog (Leia), her cats (Stjarna, Rapunzel, and Ozzy), and her chinchilla (Captain Jack).
