Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Cheryl Schunk is a 1977 graduate of the University of California School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed an internship at South Shore Veterinary Associates in Weymouth, Massachusetts, and a surgical residency at The Animal Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Mehlhaff Schunk was an associate staff surgeon at the AMC from 1982-1985, and an assistant professor of small animal surgery at Tufts Universiity School of Veterinary Medicine from 1985-1988. She has been a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons since 1985. Dr. Cheryl Schunk has provided surgical care for our hospital's patients since 1989. She will accept surgical referrals from other veterinary hospitals in all areas of general surgery and selected neurosurgical and orthopedic procedures.
